Air Fryer Poached Eggs

Air fryer poached eggs are a game changer, offering a quick and easy way to make poached eggs without the hassle of stove-top cooking. This method is not only simple but also results in perfectly cooked eggs every time, without the mess of boiling water. Plus, it’s a healthier alternative to fried eggs. Here’s how you can make your own air fryer poached eggs!

Preparation Time:

  • Prep Time: 3 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • Oil spray (I use ghee butter)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 6 tablespoons hot water
  • Toast (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C) for 3 minutes (using the air fry/air crisp setting).
  2. When the timer beeps, spritz some oil into each ramekin. Rub the oil around the edges with your finger or use a food brush for even coverage.
  3. Pour 3-4 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
  4. Crack an egg gently into each ramekin.
  5. Place the ramekins directly into the air fryer basket/tray.
  6. Cook for 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred yolk doneness. Check the poached egg cooking chart below for guidance on timing.
  7. Once cooked, remove the ramekins from the air fryer.
  8. Using a rubber spatula, gently pry the eggs out of the ramekins. If they’re stuck, you can run a knife around the edges to loosen them.
  9. Once the eggs are free, transfer them to a plate or onto prepared toast.
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy your perfect air fryer poached eggs!

Tip: Adjust the cooking time based on your desired yolk consistency. The longer you cook, the firmer the yolk will be.

Enjoy a hassle-free, perfectly poached egg without the mess!
