Chocolate Mousse & Mascarpone — Creamy and Gourmet
An airy, creamy and intense chocolate dessert, enhanced by the sweetness of mascarpone. To be enjoyed chilled!
Preparation: 20 min
Rest: 2 hours in the refrigerator
Servings: 4 verrines
About 300 kcal per serving
Ingredients:
200 g of dark chocolate
250 g of mascarpone
3 eggs (yellow and white separated)
50 g of sugar
1 pinch of salt

Cocoa powder (for decoration)



Preparation:
1. Melt the chocolate
Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave (in several batches). Let cool.
2. Mascarpone base
Whisk the egg yolks with the mascarpone until smooth.
3. Add the chocolate
Add the melted chocolate to the mascarpone cream. Mix carefully.
4. Beat the egg whites until stiff
Beat the whites with a pinch of salt. Add the sugar gradually until you obtain a firm and shiny texture.
5. Assemble the mousse
Gently incorporate the whites with a spatula, lifting the mass.
6. Put in a glass
Pour the mousse into 4 glasses. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
7. Finish
Sprinkle with cocoa before serving. For more indulgence, add hazelnut pieces or a pinch of fleur de sel.
