  1. Step 1: Cooking the noodles: Cook the linguine according to package directions until cooked as desired. Drain them well and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Browned Beef: Brown 450g of ground beef in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until golden brown. Drain excess fat.
  3. Step 3: Sauté the herbs: Stir in 1 tablespoon ginger paste and 5 teaspoons minced garlic and fry for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Step 4: Preparing the sauce: Mix 125ml beef broth, 125ml soy sauce, 80ml hoisin sauce, 60ml brown sugar, pepper and red pepper flakes to taste. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Step 5: Thicken the sauce: Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly.
  6. Step 6: Mix and serve: Add the cooked linguine to the meat and sauce mixture and mix well. Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
